SCHERTZ PUBLIC LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD (LAB) MINUTES
The LAB met on S MJ:7' 2003 with the following members present:

Minutes: No minutes to present. There was not a quorum in June, so there was no meeting.
Treasurer's Report: Julie presented the corrected October-January reports, which reflects the
correct interest. February-May reports are correct as presented. Motion to accept treasurer's
reports was made by Barbara and seconded by Lisa.
Librarian's Report:
June stats were 25,461 in comparison to last June at 21,621 an increase of over 4,000
Three new clerks were hired.
Reading club has 800+ participants
Potter at the Playscape was a hit! 200+ people attended. Library would like to continue
this activity with the possibility of selling snacks.
There will be an arbor dedicated to Samantha . placed on the playscape

Committee Reports: Barbara is in the process of finding scout volunteers for the bookstore.
New Business: No new business at this time.
Old Business: No old business at this time.
Report from Council Representative: No reports at this time.
Barbara moved to adjourn the meeting. Lisa seconded. Motion carried. The next meeting
will be Monday, hfte 2nd at 7:00 p.m.
