SCHERTZ PUBLIC LmRARY ADVISORY BOARD (LAB) MINUTES
The LAB met on March 4, 2002 with the following members present:

Minutes: Minutes were presented. Julie moved to approve the minutes, and Pia seconded.
Motion carried.
Treasurer's Report: Julie presented the Treasurer's report. Ruth moved to accept the
report and Mary seconded. Motion carried.
Librarian's Report:
. Stats were 42% higher in January 2002 compared to January 2001.
. Saturday and Sunday stats continue to go up.
. There have been no complaints about the new library hours.
. Gail is adjusting the work schedules.
. There has been no word received about the Texas Book Festival monies.

Old Business: none
Report from Council Representative: Gail presented an update on the playscape project.
There will be an organizational meeting on Tuesday, March 12th at 6:30. Extension cords,
levels, tape measure, and miter boxes are some of the tools still needed.
Ruth moved to adjourn the meeting. Simone seconded. Motion carried.
The next meeting will be April 1 st at 7:00 p.m.
