SCHERTZ PUBLIC LmRARY ADVISORY BOARD (LAB) MINUTES
The LAB met on August 12, 2002 with the following members present:
Barbara Ricks Julie Parr Jennifer Wallace Ruth Tienor
Gail Douglas Mary McAllister
Minutes: Minutes were presented. Ruth moved to approve the minutes, and Julie seconded.
Minutes were approved.
Treasurer's Report: Julie presented the June Treasurer's report. July's report was not
available as Julie was questioning some item postings. Mary moved to accept the treasurer's
report, and Jennifer seconded. Motion carried.

Librarian's Report:
· Stats continue to go up.
· At the upcoming Budget Hearing, Gail will ask for another person.
· Rocks have been thrown at windows in the library causing damage.
Committee Reports: none
New Business: Several have expressed interest in serving on the LAB. Gail will contact
Lisa Connally and Cindy Waite and invite them to attend the September meeting. Any board
vacancies will be filled at the end of the year with terms beginning in January 2003.

Report from Council Representative: none
Ruth moved to adjourn the meeting. Julie seconded. Motion carried.
The next meeting will be September 9th at 7:00 p.m.
