SCHERTZ PUBLIC LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD (LAB) MINUTES
The LAB met on November 5, 2001 with the following members present:

Minutes: Minutes were presented. Ruth moved to approve the minutes, and Julie seconded
the motion. Motion carried.
Treasurer's Report: Julie presented the Treasurer's report. .tv1argaret moved to approve the
reports, and Ruth seconded. Motion carried.
Librarian's Report:
. Stats are up.
. Friday, December i'., is the city of Schertz night Christmas parade.
. Filters will be turned on again. The yahoo chat is disabled.
. One part-time person has been hired.
Committee Reports:
Policy Committee: Changes/deletions to the general policy were suggested by members of
the board. Gail presented Internet Policy changes. Discussion followed and changes were
approved. Policies will be updated and distributed at a future meeting.
New Business:
. A nomination committee was appointed. Barbara, Pia, Simone, and Jennifer will serve on
this committee.

Report from Council Representative:
. Playscape plans have arrived. The build dates are March 13-17, 2002.
Ruth moved to adjourn the meeting. Pia seconded. JV10tion carried.
The next meeting will be December 3rd at 7 :00 p.m.
