SCHERTZ PUBLIC LmRARY ADVISORY BOARD (LAB) MINUTES
The LAB met on December 3,2001 with the following members present:
Barbara Ricks Julie Parr Ruth Tienor Margaret Riley Simone Bailey
Gail Douglas Mary McAllister
Minutes: Minutes were presented. Margaret moved to approve the minutes, and Ruth
seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Treasurer's Report: There is no Treasurer's report available at this time. Julie reported
that $249.71 was deposited from the Bookstore sales.
Librarian's Report:
· Stats are up.
· New library hours will begin in January.
· Two 10 hour clerks and one 20 hour clerk have been hired.
Committee Reports:
Policy Committee: Updated Internet Use Policy was distributed.
~ Nominating Committee:
The committee reported that all board members are returning. The following slate of
officers was presented:
Chairman - Barbara Ricks
Vice-Chairman - Pia Jarman
Secretary - Mary McAllister
Treasurer - Julie Parr
New Business:
Ruth moved to accept the slate of officers. Simone seconded. Motion carried.
Old Business:
The Schertz Christmas Parade will be on Friday, December 7th. Work on the float will begin
on Friday after 3.
Report from Council Representative: (presented by Gail)
· Playscape plans are going well.
. Northcliff will be annexed on January 1st.
