Margaret Riley moved to npprove the minutes of the June meeting. Julie Parr
seconded.
'rREASUHER'S REPOHT
Julie presented the Treasurer's. report. Revenue sh[lring money that vms
received has been placed in the Building Fund CD. The n81.V supply hutch
and desk built for the vTorkroom V,[lS paid for.
Tony Paulson moved to accept the Treasurer's report. Gene Weaver seconded.

The Universal City Library Fair VIas successful. 'They raised approximately
~~3500 .
Discussion v'as held on buying a nel'.T 'TV and VCR for in house use. 'The MOVIE
HOUSE gave a bid of $506.00 for a Quasar TV and $344.00 for a Quasar VCR.
Other prices will be checked into.
Gail presented a PROPOSED BUDGET. Discussion v-as held c:md ngreed on as to
increases in Books, Supplies, Meetings and Travel, and due to an increase
in reference questions by phone, call for overdue books, etc. another tele-
phone line is being requested.

Summer Reading Club begins June 18 and runs until the end of July. ~',7e
are cooperating with the Seguin Library "lith films, e-bc.
A"SEMINAH IN EXCELLENCE" has been planned for June 11, 12, and 13, at
San Antonio Public Library.
COMMITTEE ImpORTS AN~ ACTIONS:
BUIIDING COMMITTEE: City Council has agreed to back the Board.
The Board vrill payback any money that exceeds the balance v'e
have available for bricking. Acme Brick has beeD giving static
on prices. Earl will contact Edmund Kuempel (Rep.) who offered
with help on contacts.
PUBLIC RELA TIOl'.JS: A. floa t" for the ~,th of July is being planned.
It will be a Birthday Cake on a trailer bed, with more details to
be iNorked out. Work night for Board members, etc. "Till take place
at Ruth's.
CertificBte~ of Appreciation and a Picture for the paper are being
,,'orked on for donations made by Mr. Frank 'iT allace and IVlr. Gene Riley.
FINANCE- A cover letter for Grant Proposal to be sent to Ewing Halsell
Foundation asking for money for building has been prepared.
OLD BUSINESS:
New picture book shelving can be purchased without going out for bids, in
order to match existing furniture.
NEW BUSINESS:
'rhe Storage Room at Seguin Savings is still aVtlilable.
A IIrrhrmk-You" note vms received from Lois Moore, volunteer extraordinaire,
for the flo""ers the Board sent during her recent hospital stay.
Board members should make donations for flowers if so desired.
