The Highway Department ts aware of the growth in the area but has no plans to expand the width of PH 3009. Presently based on traffic count the> road ts in a 5 to 10 year category and will not be considered until the traffic increases. There is right-of-way for four(4) lanes, plus a center turn lane and a three(3) foot berm on each side. There will also be some bridges required if the road is expanded. Chairman Linebarger recommended the r1ayor send a letter to the State Highway Department, copy to State Senator and Representatives concerning F~1 3009. An official request and a formal reply back is necessary, this needs to be publtctzed tn the news papers and get the citizens to send letters. #8 CONSIDER AND TAKE APPROpRIATE ACTION: General Business zoning along Pr1 3009 Earl Hartzog gave the Commission a letter from the Chairman of the Board, Ctoolo State BanK (pritz Schlather) in support of business zoning along Pt,1 3009.
