Mr. Fenton explained to the Commission the course of events leading to the submission of the plat, and he further explained the rationale behind the substandard lots. Chairman Aguilar stated that the preliminary plat had been rejected during a meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission on August B, 1978; however, apparently the Commission's disapproval had not been communicated to the appropriate person within the Homecraft organization, and so.it was, he stated, that the final plat was submitted without knowledge of the Commission's prior dis- approval. Owing to.the unfortunatecourse,of events, Mr. Linebarger suggested a compromise.--Mr. Linebarger moved that the Commission disallow Lots 2-16, Block 24, but accept Lots 23-25, Block 20, and Lots 24-37, Block 19; final approval of the plat would not be granted until Lots 2-16, Block 24, have been re-drawn and conform to the standard lot size.
