01-08-1980 , .'.,-' e PLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES The Planning and Zoning eoIDD1ission of the City of Schertz convened in Regular Session, on Tuesday, January 8, 1980, at 7:00 PM in the Municipal Complex Conference Room, 1400 Live Oak Road. The following members were present: MEMBERS PRESENT: Adolph Aguilar, Chairman John Linebarger, Vice-Chairman Jacqueline Lawler, Secretary Kenneth Greenwald Raymond Stanhope Merwin Willman CITY STAFF: Glynn Stanhope, Administrative Assistant OTHERS PRESENT: None #1 CALL TO ORDER e Chairman Aguilar called the Regular Session to order at 7:00 PM. #2 APPROVAL OF MINUTES - December 18, 1979 Mr. Stanhope. moved to accept the minutes as written. The motion was seconded by Mr. Greenwald. Motion carried unanimously. #3 STAFF BRIEFING Ms. Stanhope briefed Planning and Zoning Commission about the possibly annexing o'f tbe Rittimann Addition. This . was brought up because of SAFES. There is a no mans land between the City of Schertz and Universal City that is Bexar County. Anyone having an accident in this area would have to wait for Bexar County EMS to respond with a loss of time (about 40-45 minutes) and sometimes life. Ms. Stanhope was ask if there was any problem with the Boundry lines between Schertz and Garden Ridge. Planning and Zoning Commission was informed that there was an agreement between the two Cities on the Boundry lines. #4 DISCUSSION-OF PROPOSED SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE None ~ #5 GENERAL DISCUSSION Planning and Zoning Commission ask questions about the by-pass for FM 78. Mr. Willman stated that the City would have to pay about $250,000.00 of the cost for a by~pass. . .. e e . - 2 - " #6 ADJOURNMENT Mrs. Lawler moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:40.
