02-26-1980 PLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES
The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Schertz convened
in Regular Session, on Tuesday, February 26, 1980, at 7:00 PM, in
the Municipal Complex Conference Room, 1400 Live Oak Road. The

#1 CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Aguilar called the Regular Session to order at 7:00 PM.
#2 APPROVAL OF MINUTES - February 12, 1980
Mrs. Lawler moved to accept the minutes as written. The motion
was seconded by Mr. Linebarger. Motion carried unanimously.
#3 ZC-24: CONSIDERATION OF BALCONES ROCK PRODUCTS, INC.
The Commission decree that the Specific Use Permit request by
Balcones Rock Product, Inc. was in keeping with the four
criterias listed in Section 2.2.2.
However, the Commission asked the City Staff to check with the
Water Quality Control Board on restrictions of the Sand and
Gravel Plant in regards to Cibolo Creek.
Mr. Linebarger made the motion to set the Public Hearing date
on March 25, 1980. Mr. Willman seconded the motion. The .motion
was carried unanimously.
CITIZENS HEARD
Mrs. Boyd of Northcliffe, addressed the Planning and Zoning Com-
mission about the needs of Citizens of Northcliffe for parks and
ball diamonds. She will return to Planning and Zoning Commission
to give an up-date after a meeting with Northcliffe,.
Larry Brockman and Chuck Parnell presented a film on BMX and thanked
the Planning and Zoning Commission for their help in finding a suit-
able place for BMX racing.

#4 REVIEW OF THE PROPOSE REVISED SUBDTVISION ORDINANCE
Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed a list of exceptions and
corrections to the Ordinance.
#5 S-TAPE BRIEFING
Ms. Stanhope reported that City Council ask that a Joint Meeting
be held March 17, 1980, at 7:00 PM, to discuss duties of Planning
and Zoning Commission.
