PLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Schertz convened in regular session, Tuesday, December 12, 1978, at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Complex Council Chambers, 1400 Live Oak Road. The following members were present: Commission Members Sohn Linebarger, Vice-Chairman Jack Stomackin, Secretary Charles Sharp Betty Wise Council Members Robert C. Bueker, Mayor Walter Schnieder Earl Johnson Earl Sawyer Gail Hyatt City Staff Walter W. Hill, Jr., City Manager June Krause, City Secretary Hal Baldwin, Assistant City Manager Joe C. Garza, Administrative Assistant Ron Garrison, Building Officer ~ e #1 CALL TO ORDER The Joint Public Zoning Hearing of the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council was called to _order by Vice-Chairman Linebarger at 7:00 p.m. #2 JOINT-PUBLIC ZONING HEARING The JointPublic Zoning Hearing was to hear all parties concerned. ZC-20 A request by Mr. Jim Brunson to rezone a portion of Tract "A" being .284 acres out of the T. Herrera Survey #68. Mobile Villa Estates Unit #1 from N.S. Neighborhood Services District to M.H. Mobile Home District. The following persons identified themselves: Mr. Jim Brunson, executor of the Estate Mr. Joe Potempa Mrs. May Womack The above named individuals were in favor of the proposed rezoning. No persons were in opposition. Being no further questions or discussion this item was closed. ZC-21 Request from Mrs. Bobbie Peace agent for the estate of Willie Froboese, to rezone the remaining portion oj a 92.472 acre tract of land located in the John Saladin Survey Abstract #299 from PD Pre~Development District to M-l Industrial Performance Standard Group A - . - " (Light Industrial) District. The following persons identified themselves: Mr. Eric White Mr. Earl Wienmiester Mrs. Bobbie Peace Mrs. Jean Cholkley Mr. Edsel Jones Mrs. Leroy E. Froboese Mr. Roman D. Froboese Mr. Eugene Froboese The above named individuals were in favor of the re- zoning. No persons were in opposition. Being no further questions or comments the Joint Public Zoning Hearing was closed. There was a five minute recess at 7:00 p.m. Chairman Linebarger reconvened the Planning and Zoning Commission at 7:20 p.m. and proceeded with the regular portion of the meeting. #3 READING OF MINUTES After reading the minutes, the following correction was then placed in the minutes. The meeting of November 28, 1978 was recessed at 7:35 p.m and reconvened ,at 7:40 p.m. With this correction, the minutes were then approved. Mr. Stomackin made the motion and seconded by Mr. Sharp. All members were in favor, motioned carried. #4 RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL ON ZC-20 Mr. Stomackin made a motion to:tecommend :;tQ_.the City Council the rezoning of ZC-20. Motion was by Mr. Sharp. All members were in favor. seconded #5 RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL ON ZC-2l Mr. Sharp made a motion to recommend to the City Council the rezoning of ZC-2l Motion was seconded by Mrs. Wise. All members were in favor. #6 GENERAL DISCUSSION Due to the holidays the next meeting of the Zoning and Commission of the City of Schertz will meet on January 9, 1978. #7 AflJOURNMENT _ Mr. Jack Stomackin made a motion to adjournment, motion was seconded by Mrs. Betty ~ise, all were in favor. motion carried unanimously.
