05-05-1981 e PLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Schertz convened with the City Council in Special Session, Tuesday, May 5, 1981, at 7:00 PM in the Municipal Conference Room, 1400 Live Oak Road. All members were present. #1 CALL TO ORDER Mayor Stomackin called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. #2 JOINT PUBLIC ZONING HEARING The meeting was turned over to Chairman Linebarger who in turn asked City Manager Gilmore to brief all present of Mr. Von Scheele's request for rezoning the tract of land adjacent to Greenfield Village from R-l to R-5A. Chairman Linebarger then asked for anyone in the audience to come forward to express their views. Don Grainger questioned the plat explanation that Mr. Gilmore had presented. Mr. Harris was questioned on legality. - Mr. Grainger then made a presentation in the behalf of the Green- field Village Assocation. After a short explanation of what the association was, he proceeded with his presentation. The pre- sentation was against the rezoning. There were no other inputs on the subject and Mr. Linebarger called for a recess at 7:20 PM. #3 CALL TO ORDER Chairman Linebarger called the meeting to order at 7:35 PM. #4 CONSIDERATION AND RECOMMENDATION OF ZC-30 REZONING RE~UEST Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission expressed their views. Mr. Greenwald made the motion that the proposal be sent to City Council with the recommendation of approval. Mr. Sharp seconded the motion that was carried unanimously. #5 ADJOURNMENT There was no further discussion and ~1r. Linebarger adjourned the meeting at 7:40 PM. e
