PLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES
The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Schertz convened
in Regular Session, Tuesday, May 12, 1981, in the Municipal Confer-
ence Room, 1400 Live Oak Road. The following members were present:

Tom Brooks, Administrative Assistant

#1 CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Linebarger called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
#2 READING OF MINUTES - Regular Meeting, April 28, 1981
Special Meeting, May 5, 1981
Ray Stanhope made a motion the minutes be accepted. Ken Greenwald
seconded and the vote was unanimous in favor of accepting the
minutes as written.
#3 STAFF BRIEFING
The Commission was advised that Ray Upton had passed away. Chair-
man Linebarger suggested that the Planning and Zoning Commission
send flowers and all were in favor.
The Commission reviewed a proposal by New Braunfels Planning and
Zoning Commission, on a common boundary line agreement and a
counter proposal was discussed.
#4 GENERAL DISCUSSION
Hr. Gilmore briefed on Mr. Riedel's question at the last City
Council meeti ng as to "What do you want me to do wi th it? II ,
(referring to his land on Live Oak Road that he had previously
requested rezoning). Discussion followed on the area and what
could be done. Chairman Linebarger said it was his viewpoint
that Mr. Riedel should submit his proposal. (i.e. a formal
request for rezoning). It was brought out that the Commission
should review multiple use requirements and Chairman Linebarger
requested the item be put on the next scheduled meeting agenda.
There was also discussion on Lost Meadows IV (10 acre tract).

Replacements for the Planning and Zoning Commission were discussed
and Mr. Martin Announced that the next meeting would be his last.

Chairman Linebarger adjourned the meeting at 8:10 PM.
