PLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES
The Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council of the City of Schertz
convened in Special Session, Tuesday, July 21, 1981 at 7:00 PM, in the Mu-
nicipal Complex Council Chambers, 1400 Live Oak Road, to conduct a Public
Zoning Hearing. Members present were as follows:

#1 CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Stomackin called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
e #2 JOINT PUBLIC ZONING HEARING
Mayor Stomackin turned the meeting over to the Planning and Zoning Com-
mi ss.i on Chai rman ,Mr. John Linebarger.
Chairman Linebarger requested Mr. Baker give a presentation of his plans
for the area that he has requested to be rezoned from Pre-Development to
General Business. Mr. Baker stated that he anticipated that apartments
could be constructed on the 10 to 11 acres that are out of the flood zone,
with the remaining acreage to possibly be donated to the City at some
future date. He further stated that the rezoning request is primarily to
make the land available for resale for General Business purposes.
There were no further presentations for or against the rezoning request.
Mayor Stomackin closed the Public Zoning Hearing at 7:10 PM and the Plan-
ning and Zoning Commission reconvened in the Municipal Complex Conference
Room.
Chairman Linebarger recommended the final consideration and recommendation
on the rezoning request be scheduled for the July 28, 1981 regular meeting
of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
