. PLANNING AND ZONING MINUTES
The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Schertz convened in
Regular Session on Tuesday, September 22, 1981 at 7:00 PM, in the Con-
ference Room of the Municipal Complex, 1400 Live Oak Road. The follow-
ing members were present:

#1 CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Linebarger called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
#2 READING OF MINUTES: Regua1r Session of P1annin~ and Zoning Commission,
September 8, 1981
Ray Stanhope made a motion to accept the minutes as written. Merwin
Willman seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous in favor of.
#3 CONSIDER FOR APPROVAL: A variance on street installation by the Ran-
dolph Christian Church
Discussion of the variance request lead to a motion by Mr. Ken Greenwald
that the variance be granted with the stipulation that the Certificate
of Occupancy for the church not be issued by the City Inspector until the
street extension required by the Randolph Christian Church is completed
and accepted by the City of Schertz. Mr. Willman seconded the motion
and the vote was unanimous in favor.
#4 STAFF BRIEFING
Mr. Brooks briefed on the City's purchase of the Mobile Villa Water
System and the extension of sewer service.
#5 GENERAL DISCUSSION
Mr. Willman brought up for discussion the issue of Mobile Home and Pre-
Manufactured Homes. There was sane discussion about the preparing a
new ordinance to cover new designs in mobile homes or amend the existing
Mobile Home Ordinance to encompass those structures. Chairman Linebarger
stated, and there was general agreement by the Commission Members, that
any immediate action on this issue is premature at this time, pending
more information on premanufactured homes and the legal opinion of the
City Attorney on some issues.
