01-13-1964-Canvass Bond Election RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING RESULT OF BOND ELECTION THE STATE OF TEXAS I CITY OF SCHERTZ COUNTY OF GUADALUPE ON THIS, the 13ut day of January, 1964, the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, convened in 1//'lal session at the regular meeting place thereof in the ity Hall, there being present and in attendance the following members, to-wit: ROY W. RICHARD MAYOR GEORGE P. BOLTON RALPH Ro IKELS RAYMOND Go KOYM ALDERMEN ROBERT Go STEDMAN MALFORD C. KOCH and with the following absent: ~ 19], ~%~ J/ constituting a quorum; and, among other proceedings had, were the following: MaJPr Richard offered the following resolution to the City Council. WHEREAS, under and by virtue of a resolution and order duly passed by the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, on the 21st day of December, 1963, an election was held in said City on the 11th day of January, 1964, on the proposition for e issuance of the bonds of said City in the amount of $100,000 for the purpose of constructing s1bpeet improvements in and for said ~ City; and ~ WHEREAS, on this the ~~-revday of January, 1964, there I came on to be considered the returns of said election; and WHEREAS, upon consideration of the returns of said ~lec- tion it appears that the same was in all r~ects legally held, afte due notice had been given and that said returns were duly and legally made; and , WHSREAS, it further appears frOm said returns that there "ere cast at said electionJ'if(P votes on the propositiOn - fOr the iSSuance of $100,000 street improvement bonds, of "hich n1Jll1berJ.O--votes "ere cast "1.'OR T1lE ISSUAl'lCE 011 $100,000 GENERAJJ OBLIGATION ~ 1l'lFRO~1!l'r l'01!lDS A.1!lD TtlE JP'! 011 A TA:}: 11!l FA~ T1lE1lE01I" and~votes "ere cast "AGAINST TtlE ISSUAl'lCE 011 $100,000 GEllERAlJ oBLIG ATI0N S~T 1l'lFROvEJIlE1!l'r B01!lDS A.1!lD TIlE JP'! "he o"n taxable property in said City and "he had dulY I rendered the same for taxation, and that the City Council of said fYp-t City is/authorized to issue said bonds and to levy and have assessed and collected taxes for the payment of the principal of and interest on said bonds in the time and manner prescribed by law. ------ ------- ----- The abae resolution having been read in full, it was moved by Alderman ~~ and seconded by Alderman j()& i that the same be passed and adopted. Thereupon, - the Mayor put the motion to a vote of the members of the City Council and the following members voted "AYE": Aldermen Bolton, Ikels, Koym, "$.'l'h-~Il~a and Koch; and none voted "NO" 0 The Mayor then declared the motion carried and the resolution adopted.
