A RESOLUTION
~~OINTING A CITIZENS lUlVISORY COMMITTEE FOR URBA..l'if RENEWAL
IN THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, SETTING THE TERMS OF OFFICE OF ITS
MEMBERS; APPOINTING J,V1EMBERS TO SERVE ON SAID COMMITTEE
.EFFECTIVE JANUARY...ltL, 19S7~?
WHEREAS, the City of Schertz has established ,an Urban Renewal
Agency for said City pursuant to the Urban Renewal Laws of the State
of Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City and the Board of Corrnnissioners' of said Agency
have agreed that a Citizens Advisor.Y Committee should be appointed in
order to obtain the views of a cross-section, of thecitizeIls of Schertz
concerning the direction and depth of proposed Urban Renewal Projects
within said City; and
WHE'REAS, said Citizens Advisor.y Gommittee should include re-
presentatives from the religious, business, educational, cultural segments
of its community life as well as a representation of all the various
etlmic groups within said City;and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to establish said
Committee as soon ,as ,possible; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ:
1. A Citizens Advisor.y Committee for Urban Renewal is hereby
established in the City of Schertz, Texas.
'2. The Committee.,;3hall be-composed of ten (10) members whose
terms shall be for a one (1) year peri()d.
3. The iollowing citizens of the, City of Schertz are hereby
appointed for the period January 19, 196y,through January i~, 196,8'.1
4. The following citizens of the City of Schertz are hereby
appointed for the Citizens Advisory Committee:
