A RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY COUNCIL OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS
TO APPOINT DENNY L. ARNOLD, CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY
OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, AS RESPONSIBLE OFFICER AND FISCAL
OFFICER FOR THE SWIMMING POOL PROJECT IN ACCORDANCE
WITH GUIDELINES ESTABLISHED BY THE BUREAU OF OUTDOOR
RECREATION LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND.
WHEREAS, the Citizens of Schertz, Texas in i974 approved the
issuance of $125,000 in general obligation tax bonds to match
a grant from the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation Land and Water
Conservation Fund, administered through the Parks and Wildlife
Department of the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to obtain a matching grant through
the above named bureau; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Schertz, Texas desires that Denny
L. Arnold, City Manager of Schertz, Texas be appointed responsible
officer for a swimming pool construction project; and
WHEREAS, Denny L. Arnold, City Manager, is responsible for all
fiscal affairs of the City of Schertz, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the site upon which the pool will be constructed is
located on a spot dedicated as a permanent outdoor recreational
area.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SCHERTZ, TEXAS, that Denny L. Arnold, City Manager be appointed
the responsible officer and fiscal officer for the swimming pool
project to be constructed with the $125,000 in general obligation
tax bonds passed in 1974 by citizens of Schertz and the matching
funds from the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation Fund and Water
Conservation Fund administered by the Parks and Wildlife Department
of the State of Texas.
