RESOLUTION NO. 7!F-R- V
A RESOLUTION REFUSING TO ACCEPT AN
AUTOMATIC 2~ PER DAY RATE ADJUSTMENT
FROM ENTEX AND REQUIRING AN ENTEX
REPRESENTATIVE TO SHOW PROOF TO THE
CITY FOR THE NEED OF SUCH AN INCP~ASE.
WHEREAS, the City of Schertz has received a
request from ENTEX for a 2~ per day rate increase
to all gas customers; and
WHEREAS, the City realizes that rising costs
of operation is fair cause for requesting such an
increase; and
WHEREA~,the City Council has an obligation
to its residents to understand the justified needs
for such an increase; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to be in-
formed by ENTEX of any justification for the need of
the subject rate adjustment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, that
the automatic rate adjustment requested by ENTEX
in their letter of January 31, 1975, be refused;
and that an ENTEX representative present the City
Manager with documentation showing justification
for a rate increase; and that an ENTEX representa-
tive appear at a near future Council meeting to
address the Council on the requested increase.
