A RESOLUTION
DIRECTING THE CALLING FOR BIDS FOR "STREET
IMPROVEMENT - BUFFALO VALLEY SOUTH, THE CITY
OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS"
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS,
That the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause the
following Advertisement for Bids to be given and published in the"Valley News"
as required by law on December 2nd, 1976 and December 9th, 1976, and in such
other newspapers and/or periodicals and on such other dates as she shall de-
termine to be necessary, to wit:

Advertisement for Bids for: "STREET IMPROVEMENTS - BUFFALO VALLEY SOUTH, THE
CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS"
Separate sealed bids for "Street Improvements - Buffalo Valley South, The City
of Schertz, Texas, will be received by the City of Schertz, Texas, at the City
Hall, Schertz, Texas, until '7:00 P.M. December 21st, 1976, and then publicly
opened and read aloud. Any b'ids re'ceived after closfng time will be rejected
and returned to the bidder unopened.
Copies of the plans and specifications may be examined without charge at the
office of Howard W. Gaddis Consulting Engineer, or located at 4335 Piedras West
(Suite 100 Lamar Building) San Antonio, Texas, 78228, or will be forwarded by
the Engineer upon receipt of a $25.00 deposit. The entire amount of deposit
will be refunded to bona fide bidders if the plans and specifications are re-
turned in good order within 10 days after the bid opening. One-half of the
deposit will be refunded to non-bidders upon return of the plans and specifi-
cations within 10 days after the bid opening.
Each bid must be accompanied by an acceptable bidder's bond or certified check
in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Bids must be submitted on bid form
furnished. No bid may be withdrawn for 30 days after the above scheduled closing
time for the receipt of bids.
In case of ambiguity or lack of clarity in the statement of prices in the bid
form, the City Council reserves the right to consider only the prices written
in words, or to reject the entire bid.

bid and to reject any and all bids.
Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions
of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract.
