A RESOLUTION
DIRECTING THE CALLING FOR BIDS FOR A NEW
MUNICIPAL COMPLEX, EDA #08-51-01236, THE
CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS,
That the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to
cause the following Advertisement for Bids to be given and published in
the IIValley Newsll as required by law on February 24, 1977
and March 3 1977 , and in such other newspapers and/or
periodicals and on such other dates as she shall determine to be necessary,
to wit:

Advertisement for Bids for: IIMUNICIPAL COMPLEX EDA #08-51-01236, THE
CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXASII
Separate sealed bids for a Munciipal Complex EDA #08-51-01236, The City of
Schertz, Texas, will be received by the City Secretary of the City of Schertz,
Texas, at the City Hall, Schertz, Texas, until March 22, 1977
and then publicly opened and read aloud. Any bids received after closing
time will be rejected and r~turned to the bidder unopened. Copies of the plans
and specifications may be examined without charge at the office of Hesson &
May Associates, located at 8031 Broadway, San Antonio, Texas or Builder's
Exchange, 610 Augusta Street, or F. W.Dodge Plan Room, 401 Isom Road, Suite
220, San Antonio, Texas, or will be forwarded upon receipt of a $100.00 deposit.
The entire amount of deposit will be refunded to bona-fide bidders if the plans
and specifications are returned in good order within ten (10) days after the
bid opening. One-half of the deposit will be refunded to non-bidders upon
return of the plans and specifications within ten (10) days after the bid
opening.
Each bid must be accompanied by an acceptable bidder's bond or certified check
in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Bids must be submitted on bid form fur-
nished. No bid may be withdrawn for 30 days after the above scheduled closing
time for the receipt of bids.
In case of ambiguity or lack of clarity in the statement of prices in the bid
form, the City Council reserves the right to consider only the prices written
in words, or to reject any and all bids.
Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions
of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract.
