RESOLUTION 77-R-16
A RESOLUTWN EXTENDING THE SUSPENSION OF A RATE INCREASE
REQUESTED BY GUADALUPE VALLEY ELECTRICAL COOPERATIVE (GVEC)
FOR AN ADDITIONAL THIRTY DAYS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Schertz has previously
suspended a requested electric rate increase for 120 days; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted one Pulbic Hearing on this
matter; and
WHEREAS, additional information is still required from GVEC, now
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, that
The rate increase requested by Guadalupe Valley Electrical Cooperative
be suspended for thirty days; and that a GVEC representative present the
City Manager with documentation showing justification for a rate increase;
and that a GVEC representative appear at a near future Council Meeting to
address the Council on the requested increase.
