DIRECTING THE CALLING OF BIDS FOR: "STREET IMPROVEMENTS AND PARKING AREA, CITY OF SCHERTZ,-TEXASII BE 14 RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS: THAT, THE CITY SECRETARY IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED AND DIRECTED TO CAUSE THE FOLLOWING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS TO BE GIVEN AND PUBLISHED IN THE VALLEY NEWS , as required by law on April 6, 1978 , Apri 1 13, 1978 and Apri 1 20, 1978 , 1978, and in such other newspapers and/or periOdicals and on such other dates -as she shall determine to be necessary, to wit: ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Advertisement for bids for: STREET IMPROVEMENTS AND PARKING AREA, CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS Separate sealed bids for IISTREET IMPROVEMENTS AND PARKING AREA FOR THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, Secretary - we wi 11 be recei ved by the Ci ty &~\ltR~il :of the Ci ty of Schertz, Texas, unti 1 2:00 PM o'clock, Tuesday. April 25.1978 and then pu61ic1y opened and read aloud. Any bids received after closing time will be rejected and returned to the bidder unopened. Copies of the plans and specifications may be examined without charge at the office of Howard W. Gaddis Consulting Engineer, or located at 4335 Piedras West (Suite 100 _ Lamar Building), San Antonio, Texas 78228, or will be forwarded by the Engineer upon receipt of a $25.00 deposit. The entire amount of deposit will be refunded to bona fide bidders if the plans and specifications are returned in good order within 10 days after the bid opening. One-half of the deposit will be refunded to non-bidders upon return of the plans and specifications within 10 days after the bid opening. Each bid must be accompanied by an acceptable bidder's bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Bids must be submitted on bid form furnished. No bid may be withdrawn for 30 days after the above scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. In case of ambiguity of lark of clarity in the statement of prices in the bid form, the City Council reserves the right to consider only the prices written in words, or to reject the entire bid. The City Council reserves the right to waive any or all informalities in the bid and to reject any and all bids. .
