A RESOLUTION
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS,
SETTING A TIME, DATE AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
PURSUANT TO THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF APPROXI~~TELY
300 ACRES OUT OF GUADALUPE AND COMAL COUNTIES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas,
desires to institute annexation proceedings concerning the territory
described herein, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 6, Article 970a, Vernonls
Texas Civil Statutes, a public hearing is required, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT a public hearing is hereby scheduled for 7:00 P.M.
September 4, 1979, to be held in the Council Chambers of the Municipal
Building, 1400 Live Oak Road, Schertz, Texas, to obtain the views of the
public concerning the proposed annexation of the following territory:
BEGINNING at a point in the city limit line of the City of Schertz,
Texas, which is the point of intersection of a CUT-OFF in the North
line of IH 35 and the East line of Lookout Road;
THENCE, North 300 081 West, 36201 (more or less) with the East
right-of-way line of Lookout Road to an angle in Lookout Road;
THENCE South 600 ~/est, 1001 (more or less) to a point, being the
intersection of the North right-of-way line of Lookout Road and
the West line of the Clarence Dolle tract;
THENCE, North 310 301 West, 3801 (more or less) along the West
line of the Clarence Dolle tract to a point;
THENCE, North 600 East, 23301 (more or less) with the city limits
of the City of Schertz to a point;
THENCE South 300 East, 26401 with the city limits of the City of
Schertz to a point;
THENCE North 600 East, 26401 with the city limits of the City of
Schertz to a point;
THENCE South 300 East, 12651 (more or less) with the City limits
of the City of Schertz to a point, said point being in the North
right-of-way of IH 35;
THENCE South 550 281 West, 4301 (more or less) to a point in the
North right-of-way of IH 35;
THENCE along the North right-of-way line of IH 35 as follows:
South 570 231 West, 973.601;
South 600 021 West, 3093.701;
South 560 251 36" West, 287.701;
THENCE, North 750 041 West, 70.80' to the point of beginning and
containing 300 acres (more or less).
