A RESOLUTION
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS, TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS
AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SUPPORTING
REALIGNMENT OF THE INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35 EXIT
RAMP LOCATED IMMEDIATELY SOUTH OF FARM TO
MARKET ROAD 3009.
WHEREAS, Barshop Enterprizes, a developer of a business
park along IH 35 has submitted a proposal for realignment 'of the
IH 35 exit ramp immediately south of FM 3009; and
WHEREAS, this proposed realignment will improve
accessability to the business park and to the FM 3009 entrancing
to the City of Schertz; and
WHEREAS, such a realignment will improve traffic safety
for our citizens; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS
THAT the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation
be requested to take all necessary actions to relocate the IH 35
exit ramp to insure traffic accessability and safety for our
citizens.
