A RESOLUTION
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS, SETTING A TIME, DATE AND PLACE FOR
PUBLIC HEARINGS PURSUANT TO THE PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF . APPROXIMATEL Y 60.911 ACRES OF
LAND, f>iORE OR LESS, OUT OF COMAL AND
GUADALUPE COUNTIES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Schertz,
Texas, desires to institute proceedings concerning the territory
described herein; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 6, Article 970a,
Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, public hearings are required, NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT a publ ic hearing is hereby scheduled for 7:00
o'clock p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 1987, to be held in the Council
Chambers of the Municipal Complex, 1400 Live Oak Road, Schertz,
Texas, to obtain the views of the public concerning the proposed
annexation of approximately 60.911 acres of land as described on
the attached fieldnotes and map; and
THAT a second public hearing is hereby scheduled for
7:00 o'clock p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 1987, to be held in the
Council Chambers of the Municipal Complex, 1400 Live Oak Road,
Schertz, Texas, to obtain the views of the public on the proposed
annexation of approximately 60.911 acres of land, as described in
the attached fieldnotes and map, and made a part hereof.

FIELDNOTE DESCRIPTION of 60.911 acres of land being in Comal
and Guadalupe County, Texas; being out of the C.M. Gahagan
Jr. Survey No. 258, Abstract No. 182, Comal County and
Abstract No. 142, Guadalupe County, Te xas ; said property
being described is South of the existing City Limits Line of
the City of Schertz, ~s annexed by Ordinance No. 80-A-21, .
dated September 2, 1980, along the existing right-of-way line
. of Eckhart Lane a di stance of one mile and a depth of 250
feet on the Easterly and Westerly side of the center line of
Eckhart Lane:
BEGINNING at a point on the existing City Limits' Line of the
City of Schertz, as annexed by Ordinance No. 80-A-21,
September 2, 1980, said point being on the East right-of-way
line of Eckhart Lane and the West property line of Robert K.
Ellis 89.839 acre tract of land as recorded in Volume 0427,
Page 765 of the Deed-Records of Comal County, Texas;
THENC E, North 54045"00" East, 259.96 feet, with the existing
City Limits Line of the City of Schertz, across the Robert K.
Ellis 89.839 acre tract of land for the Northeast corner of
this tract;
THENC E, in a Southeasterly direction as follows:
