1994R05-Alcoholic designation in Park Areas RESOLUTION NO. f~-,e- 5 A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS DESIGNATING A PARTICULAR AREA AND PARTICULAR DATE'S FOR WHICH ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES MAY NOT BE BROUGHT INTO OR REMOVED FROM PICKRELL PARK WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to comply with Section 12 1/2-3 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Schertz, Texas; and WHEREAS, said Section 12 1/2-3 provides that alcoholic beverages may not be brought into or removed from a city park or recreation area during particular events designated from time to time by the City Council. WHEREAS, said Section 12 1/2-3 provides that the City Council shall designate the particular park and recreational area and designate particular dates to which the provisions of this section apply; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS: THAT, in the best interests of the citizens attending the 1994 July Jubilee, the following described area be designated in compliance with this section of the Code: "400 feet west from the intersection of Oak Street and Aero Avenue; then 400 feet south into the park area; then 400 feet east to Oak Street, and north on Oak Street to the beginning at the intersection with Aero Avenue, surrounding the large pavilian area." THAT, the dates for this restriction and to which these restrictions apply are July 3 and July 4, 1994. THAT said restrictions, area and dates shall apply only to beer and wine and is therefore not applicable to other alcoholic beverages.
