EDC 05-14-2009SSCCIH[1ClRZ~~7L ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT NOTICE OF MEETING CITY OF SCHERTZ ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS' MEETING Regular Meeting May 14, 2009 The City of Schertz Economic Development Corporation (EDC) will meet for a regular meeting on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 1400 Schertz Parkway, Schertz, Texas. This is an open meeting, subject to the open meeting laws of the State of Texas. Notice of time, date, place, and agenda is hereby posted on or before Monday, May 11, 2009 at 6:30 p.m., as required by law. This facility is wheelchair accessible and accessible parking spaces are available. Audio units for the hearing impaired are available for any meeting. Advanced notice is recommended. 1. Presentation and discussion on new and existing economic development statutes. (M. Spain) 6. Discussion and action regarding an expenditure of up to $150,000 in sales tax funds for construction and operational funding of the City of Schertz Public Library. (S. White) 7. Public hearing and discussion and action regarding an expenditure of up to $15,000 in sales tax funds to enter into a professional services agreement with Site Location Partnership for Business Recruitment Services. (J. Jewell) 8. Closed Session in accordance with Texas Local Government Code, 551.087 (Economic Development). In addition to the matters listed above, any matter scheduled for open session maybe discussed in Closed Session, as deemed appropriate and authorized bylaw.
