AN ORDINANCE
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SCHERTZ, TEXAS CANVASSING THE RETURNS
AND DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE CITY
GENERAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON
THE SEVENTH DAY OF MAY, 2005, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, there came to be considered the returns of a City Council
election duly and legally held in the City of Schertz, Texas on May 7,2005; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has reviewed official election returns which
were duly and lawfully made to said City Council by the Guadalupe County
Elections Administrator; and
WHEREAS, from said returns, this Council hereby finds that there were
cast in said election, by those voters who were resident qualified electors of the
City, the following votes:

WHEREAS, from the above tabulation and findings, this City Council
further finds that there were cast in said election a total of 1311 votes and that for
Councilmember, Place 3 Reginna Agee received a plurality of votes cast; and for
Councilmember, Place 4 Tony Wilenchik received a plurality of votes cast; and
for Councilmember, Place 5 Michael Carpenter received a plurality of votes cast;
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS:

THAT Reginna Agee is hereby duly elected Councilmember, Place 3 and
Tony Wilenchik is hereby duly elected Councilmember, Place 4 and Michael
Carpenter is hereby duly elected Councilmember, Place 5 on the City Council of
the City of Schertz, Texas, pursuant to the election duly held within said City on
May 7, 2005.

THAT the public importance of this measure constitutes and creates an
urgent necessity to comply with the State Election Law that requires this
Ordinance be passed and take effect as an emergency measure, and shall take
effect and be in force immediately upon and after its passage.
