AN ORDINANCE
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS BE
AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 18-75, MAXIMUM
LIMITS IN SCHOOL ZONES; AND PROVIDING A
REPEALING CLAUSE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1
THAT, Section 18-75 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Schertz, Texas is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 18-75- Maximum Limits In school zones.
It shall be unlawful for any person to drive or operate any motor vehicle at
a rate of speed in excess of that which is posted within a school speed zone, the
limits of which shall be designated by school speed limit signs, on any day of any
regular or any special or summer term, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00
a.m. or between the hours of 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., to include the lunch
period, 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. where appropriate, or any other designated and
posted hours.

SECTION 2
THAT all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are
hereby repealed.
