BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS, AMENDING THE SIGN ORDINANCE NO. 86-
S-28, ARTICLE VI, SIGNS PERMITTED IN ALL
BUSINESS, COMMERCIAL AND MANUFACTURING
DISTRICTS, SECTION 7, MAIN STREET SPECIAL
SIGN DISTRICT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT Sign Ordinance No. 86-S-28 of the City of Schertz,
Texas is hereby amended in the following manner:
ARTICLE VI
SIGNS PERMITTED IN ALL BUSINESS, COMMERCIAL AND
MANUFACTURING DISTRICTS
Section 7
Main Street Special Sign District
7a. On-Premises Sign Restrictions. Businesses
located on Main Street between Schertz Parkway
and Aviation Boulevard (low water crossing to
U.C.) with rear property line abutting the
Southern Pacific Railroad property will be
permitted one (1) additional on-premises sign.
7b. Types of Signs. The sign may be a free-
standing sign designed and constructed in
accordance with this Ordinance, or a wall sign
(Para. 5j, Sec. 5, this Article) attached to
the rear of building, or a roof sign (Para. 5g,
Sec. 5, this Article).
7c. Placement of Additional Sign. The
additional sign permitted in this special
district will only be allowed in the rear area
of the property so that the sign will be
visible to motorists and pedestrians traveling
on FM 78.
7d. Other Restrictions. Provisions
