TEXAS, AMENDING THE SIGN ORDINANCE NO. 86-S-
28, ARTICLE IX, PERMIT, SECTION lOa.
PORTABLE OR MOBILE SIGNS; AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 87-S-13, ARTICLE VI, SIGNS PERMITTED IN
ALL BUSINESS, COMMERCIAL AND MANUFACTURING
DISTRICTS, SECTION 5a.(2) HEIGHT AND SECTION
5a.(3) SETBACK, FREE-STANDING SIGNS; AND
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 87-S-17, ARTICLE III,
DEFINITIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
THAT Sign Ordinance 86-S-28 of the City of Schertz, Texas lS
hereby amended in the following manner:
Amend ARTICLE IX, Section lOa. as follows:
ARTICLE IX PERMIT
Section 10. Portable or Mobile Signs
lOa. Request for a portable sign or mobile sign will be accepted
from a business or activity located on the same premises as the
said advertising will be displayed, and will include the name,
address and telephone number of person requesting the sign, the
location and purpose of the sign.
THAT Ordinance 87-S-13 of the City of Schertz, Texas lS hereby
amended in the following manner:
Amcnd ARTICLE VI, Section 5a.(2) and Section 5a.(3) as follows:
ARTICLE VI
SIGNS PERMITTED IN ALL BUSINESS, COMMERCIAL AND
~ANUFACTURING DISTRICTS
Section 5 Free-Standing Signs.

Sa. (3) Setback: The base of the slgn shall be set back a
minimum of five (5') feet from the property line, and will meet
the structural requirements set forth in the Southern Building
Code.
THAT Ordinance 87-8-17 of the City of Schertz, Texas is hereby
amended in the following manner:
Amend ARTICLE III DEFINITIONS as follows:
Before Shopping Center add the number 6.
Before Mall add the number 7.
Before Directory Sign add the number 8.
