1981S41- AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE 79S15 . .' I , " ORDINANCE NO. f?/~ S -11 AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE (ORDINANCE NO. 79-S-15) OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS; CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF FOUR (4) PARCELS OF LAND WHICH WERE ANNEXED BY THE CITY OF SCHERTZ ORDINANCE 81-A-10, DATED APRIL 7,1981; NO. 81-A-ll, DATED APRIL 7, 1981; NO. 80-A-25, DATED NOVEMBER 4, 1980; AND NO. 80-A-21, DATED SEPTEMBER 2, 1930, FROM PRE-DEVELOPMENT (PO) TO GENERAL BUSINESS (GB); AND REFLECTING SAID CHANGES ON CERTAIN ZONING MAPS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SCHERTZ ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 79-S-15. WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has proposed and recommended this rezoning to the City Council; and WHEREAS, the procedures outlined in Article XIX, Sections 2 and 4 have been complied with; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS: THAT the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Schertz, Texas (Ordin- ance No. 79-S-15) is hereby amended in the following manner: A. (103.65 acres of land more or less being situated in the Rafael Garza and Calvin P. Abbott Surveys out of the Counties of Comal and Guadalupe) proposed that in a line parallel to and 900 feet on either side from the center line of IH 35, which will consist of 103.65 acres of land, more or less, be zoned Genral Business (GB). Said land having been annexed by the City of Schertz Ordinance No. 81-A-10 on April 7,1981. B. (331.35 acres of land in the Rafael Garza and Calvin P. Abbott Surveys out of the Counties of Comal and Guadalupe) proposed that in a line parallel to and 900 feet on either side from the center line of IH 35, which will consist of 331.35 acres of land, more or less, be zoned General Business (GB). Said land having been annexed by the City of Schertz Ordinance No. 81-A-ll, dated April 7,1981. C. (177.7 acres of land in the J. F. Zepeda and C.M. Gahagon Surveys of the County of Comal) proposed that in a line parallel to and 900 feet on either side from the center line of IH 35, which will consist of 177.7 acres of land, more or less, be zoned General Business (GB). Said land having been annexed by the City of Schertz Ordinance No. 80-A-25, dated November 4, 1980. D. (207.9) acres of land in the C.M. Gahagon and John Noyes Surveys out of Comal County) proposed that in a line parallel to and 900 feet on either side from the center line of IH 35, which will consist of 207.9 acres, more or less, be zoned General Business (GB). THE STATE OF TEXAS I COUNTY OF GUADALUPE I CITY OF SCHERTZ I On this, the 1 day of December, 1981 , at 7:00 o'clock P.M., the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, convened at a regular meeting at the regular meeting place in the Municipal Building in the City of Schertz, Texas, pursuant to due call ~nd notice to all of the members of said City Council, which meeting was at all times open to the public, and at which meeting the following members were present, to-wit: Jack M. Stomackin, Sr. Richard L., Howe Barbara Taylor Jeff Duffield Earl Sawyer Jacqueline Lawler MAYOR COUNCILMEMBER COUNCILMEMBER COUNCILMEMBER COUNCILMEMBER COUNCI LMEMBER ABSENT none and June G. Krause Jimmy G. Gilmore CITY SECRETARY CITY MANAGER There being a quorum present, the meeting was called to order by the Mayor, and, among other proceedings had were the following: The Mayor introduced the hereinafter set forth ordinance, which has been read and considered at the last regular meeting of the City Council on the 17 day of November, 1981 It was determined that the City Secretary had caused a short synopsis of said proposed ordinance to be published in the official City newspaper after its consideration at the last regular meeting of the City Council and prior to this meeting. Whereupon said ordinance was discussed and further considered by the Council. Thereupon it was moved by Councilmember Sawyer and seconded by Councilmember Lawler that said ordinance be finally passed and adopted. The Mayor, put the motion to a vote of the members of the City Council and the ordinance was finally passed and adopted by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Howe, Taylor, Duffield, Sawyer, and Lawler NA y~ : None '-
