AN ORDINANCE
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS,
AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE (ORDINANCE NO. 79-S-15)
OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS; CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION
OF A 300 ACRE TRACT OF LAND FROM PD TO GB AND M-l; A 335
ACRE TRACT OF LAND FROM PD TO GB AND R-l; A 324.13 ACRE
TRACT OF LAND FROM PD TO GB AND R-l; AND REFLECTING SAID
CHANGE ON CERTAIN ZONING MAPS IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE
II AND III OF SAID ZONING ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Schertz, Texas, wishes
to comply with Article III, Section 1 of Ordinance No. 79-S-15; and
WHEREAS, the procedures outlined in Article II, Sections 3 and
4 have been complied with; and
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has voted favorably
to recommend that the zoning change be approved and has reported same to the
City Secretary; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, that:
The Zoning Ordinance of the City of Schertz, Texas, (Ordinance
No. 79-5-15, is hereby amended in the following manner:
A. 79-A-18: (300 acre tract north of IH 35 out of Comal and
Guadalupe Counties) 750 feet along IH 35 be
zoned General Business (GB) and that the remain-
ing portion be zoned Industrial District Group
A, M-l.
B. 79-A-23: (335 acre tract around Oak Forest Subdivision
out of Guadalupe County) 200 square feet of the
north side of Green Valley Road and the east
side of FM 3009 be zoned General Business (GB)
with the remaining be zoned Single Family
Dwelling District R-l.
C. 79-A-24 (324.13 acre tract know as Horseshoe Oak Sub-
division out of Guadalupe County) the frontage
of the parcel along FM 3009 be zoned General
Business (GB), dimensions as previously approved
on Horseshoe Oaks, Unit I Final Plat. The follow-
ing lots to be zoned R-5, Garden Home Dwelling
District: Block 8, lots 69-75; Block 9, lots
76-80; Block 10, lots 81-88; the remaining
parcel to be zoned R-l, Single Family Dwelling
District.
D. The Zoning District Maps, described and referenced in Sec-
tion 3.1 and 3.2 shall be changed to indicate the above
amendment.
