AN ORDINANCE
BY THE crrY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS
CANVASSING THE RETURNS AND DECLARING THE
RESULTS OF THE CITY GENERAL ELECTION HELD IN
SAID CITY ON THE THIRD DAY OF MAY 2003, AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS. there came to be considered the returns of a City Council
General Election duly and legally held in the City of Schertz, Texas on May 3,
2003; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has reviewed official election returns which were
duly and lawfully provided to said City Council by the Guadalupe County
Elections Administrator; and
WHEREAS, from said returns, this Council hereby finds that them were cast
in said election, by those voters who were resident qualified electors of the City,
the following votes:

Councilmember, Place 3

Councilmember, Place 4

Councilmember, Place 5
Ken Greenwald 346
and,
WHEREAS, from the above tabulation and findings, this City Council further
finds that there were cast in said election a total of 423 votes and that for
Councilmember, Place 3 Reginna Agee received a plurality of votes cast; and for
Coun¢ilmember, Place 4 Tony Wilenchik received a plurality of votes cast; and
for Counciimember, Place 5 Ken Greenwald received a plurality of votes cast;
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS:
THAT Reginna Agee is hereby duly elected Councilmember, Place 3 and
Tony Wilenchik is hereby duly elected Councilmember Place 4 and Ken
Greenwald is duly elected Counciimember Place 5 on the City Council of the City
of Schertz, Texas, pursuant to the election duly held within said City on May 3,
2003.
THAT the public importance of this measure constitutes and creates an urgent
necossity to comply with the State Election Law that requiros this Ordinanco be
passed and take effect as an emergency measure, and shall take effect and be
in force immediately upon and after its passage.._~.....~d~ o~
