On this, July 24, 1969, the City Council of the City
of Schertz, Texas, regularly convened at a regular meeting in
the City Hall of the City of Schertz, Texas, with the following

at which time the following proceedings, among others, were had,
to-wit:
Mayor Roy W. Richard introduced a proposed ordinance
levying taxes for the year 1969 in and for the City of Schertz,
Texas, hereinafter set forth. The ordinance was read in full
and a full discussion and consideration thereof then ensued.
Alderman Malford C. Koch moved that said ordinance be
passed and adopted. The motion was seconded by Alderman Raymond
G. Koym. Motion carried by the following vote:
AYES: Mayor Roy W. Richard, and Aldermen Raymond G.
Koym, Leonard J. Kazben, Malford Koch, Jimmie V.
Dunham.
NOES: None
Thereupon, the Mayor announced the ordinance finally passed and
adopted, and said ordinance as passed and adopted by the City
Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of Schertz, Texas
is as follows:

WHEREAS, the City Council of the 'Oity-of Schertz,
Texas, has not passed and adopted an ordinance levying annual

tAxes for the year :1.969, and it noW com.iders it neces$~ and
desirable, at this time, to pa.ss sUch ordinance levying ad
valorem t~es on all taxable property in the City of Schertz,
f'or the year 1969, and
WHEREAS, this City council, after due consideration,
finds and determines that to PaY the operating exp~,mses of the
City which will accrue fOr the ensuing year, herein referred to
as the t8.J!:l.evy tor General Fund purposes, that a. tax or and at
the rate of seventY~seven {$(l. 77) cents on each one hundred
dollars ($100.00) assessed valUatiOn of' all taxable proPerty
in the City should be levied tor the year 1969: and that to pay
the interest on and to C!l:'eate the necessary sinking fund on the

That, to pay the interest on and to provide the
necessary sinking ~und on the issue o~ $301,000 CITY OF
SCHERTZ SEWER SYSTEM BONDS, SERIES 1962, dated June 1, 1962,
there shall be, and there is hereby levied on each one hundred
dollars ($100.00) assessed valuation of ~~ taxable property
in the City of Schertz, Texas, for the year 1969 a tax of
and at the rate of twenty-three cents ($0.23).

That the total tax hereby levied on each one hundred
dollars ($100.00)' assessed valuation o~ all taxable property
in the City of Schertz, Texas. for the year 1969 shall be of
and at the rate of one dollar ($1.00), of which, a tax of and
at the rate of seventy-seven cents ($0.77), a~oresaid, shall
be and is hereby levied ~or General Fund purposes of said Gity,
and of which, a tax o~ and at the rate o~ twenty-three cents
($0.23) as aforesaid, shall be and is hereby levied ~or interest
and sinking ~und purposes, and said taxes hereby levied shall be
applied to the purposes named.

of Schertz, Texas, DO HEREBY CERTIFY that the above
and foregoing is a true and correct copy of an ordinance
and the minutes pertaining to its adoption, which ordin-
ance was duly and legally passed and adopted by the Gity
Council of the City of SChertz, Texas,.at a regular meet-
ing held on July 24, 1969, at the regular meeting place
in the City Hall in the City of Schertz, Texas, and that
same appears of record in Book 3 of the Minutes of said
City Council; and that I am the lawful possessor and
custodian of such books and records of the City of
