AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING THE BOARD OF EQUALIZATION FOR THE CITY OF
SCHERTZ, TEXAS, FOR THE YEAR 1968, PROVIDING FOR THEIR DUTIES AND
COMPENSATION, AND TIME OF MEETING.
WHEREAS, the time has naw arrived for the work of the Board of Equalization to
begin and no such Board has yet been appointed for the year 1968, now therefore.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
That, Delas R. Durden, HU2h G. Sandifer and Charlie Sartain, are hereby
appointed to the board of Equalization of the City of Schertz, Texas, for the year
1968, who are to perform the duties of such Board of Equalization for the City of
Schertz, Texas, as perscribed by the CORstitution and laws of the State of Texas,
and ordinance of the City of Schertz, Texas; such Board shall receive all the
assessment lists and books of the assessor of the City of Schertz, Texas, for
examination, correction, equilzation, appraisement, and approval for the City of
Schertz, Texas; the members thereof shall receive for their compensation the sum
of $50.00 (Fifty Dollars); and such shall be convened OR the day of
1968, in the City Hall at Schertz, Texas at A.M. At each meeting of said Board
the City Secretary shall act as secretary therefor.
