AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY SCHERTZ PROVIDING FUNDS
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1973 AND
ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1974 BY APPR9VING THE BUDGET
FOR SAID PERIOD AND APPROPRIATING THE NECESSARY
FUNDS OUT OF THE GENERAL AND OTHER REVENUES OF
THE CITY OF SCHERTZ FOR SAID YEAR FOR THE MAINTENANCE
AND OPERATION OF THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS AND FOR VAR-
IOUS ACTIVITIES AND IMPROVEMENTS OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, as required by the General Laws of the State
of Texas the budget has been prepared and submitted to the City
Council with estimates pf expenditures and revenues of all city
departments and activities for the year beginning October 1, 1973
and ending September 30, 1974; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing upon said budget has
been duly and legally published; and
WHEREAS, said public hearing has been held and full and
final consideration given said budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
Section 1. That for the purpose of providing the funds
necessary and proposed to be expended in the budget for said city
for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1973, and ending September
30, 1974, the budget was prepared and submitted to the City Council
for its consideration and approval and that said budget in the total
amount of $657,776.60, and the same is hereby approved and the avail-
able resources and revenues of said city are hereby appropriated for
the maintenance and operation of the various departments of the gov~
ernment of the city and the various activities and improvements as
set forth in said budget.
Section 2. That the said budget of the City of Schertz,
Texas, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1973 and ending Sep-
tember 30, 1974, an exact copy of which is marker "Exhibit A" and
made a part hereof for all purposes the same as if it were copied
in full herein, is hereby approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Schertz, Texas, as the budget for the city for the
fiscal year 1974.
Section 3.
