ORDINANCE NO. 229
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 93, CREATING TWO (2) ADDITIONAL
POSITIONS ON THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION AND DESIGNATING
APPOINTMENT OF A CHAIRMAN, VICE-CHAIRMAN, AND A SECRETARY.
Section 1. There is hereby created and established
within the City of Schertz, Texas, a City flanning Commission
which shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Schertz
City Council, such City Planning Commission shall be composed
of seven (7) members whose offices ~re hereby cr~at~d and
established. The members of the City Planning Commission'.
shall be resident citizens of the corporate limits of the
City of Schertz, Texas, owners of real estate in th~ City of
Schertz, taxpayers and qualified voters of the City of Schertz
and shall be representative of separate sections of the city
dependent upon the availability of qualified personnel. The
members of the City Planning Commission shall be appointed by
the City Council. The term of office of said members shall
be five (5) years. The City Council shall name one appointee
as Chairman, one as Vice-Chairman and one as Secretary. All
vacancies occurring on the City Planning Commission shall be
filled by appointment of the City Council.
