ORDINANCE NO. 79-E-l.
AN ORDINANCE
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS,
CANVASSING THE RETURNS AND DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
A CHARTER AMENDMENT ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY ON THE
7TH DAY OF APRIL, 1979~ AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, there came to be considered the returns of a Charter
Amendment Election duly and legally held in the City of Schertz, Texas,
on Apri 1 7, 1979; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has diligently inquired into the
poll lists and official election returns which were duly and lawfully
made to the City Council by the Judges and clerks holding and conducting
said election, said poll lists showing the votes cast in said election were
cast by resident qualified electors of said City; and
WHEREAS, from said returns, this City Council affirmatively finds
that there were cast in said election by resident qualified voters a total
of votes, of which number the following votes "FOR" and "AGAINST"
said propositions were cast in said election, to-wit:
