AN ORDINANCE
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS,
PLACING A THREE TON VEHICULAR WEIGHT LIMIT ON A
PORTION OF LIVE OAK ROAD AND ON EAST LIVE OAK ROAD;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, East Live Oak Road was constructed to support no more
than certain weight vehicles; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to insure that
East Live Oak Road supports and services the traffic for which it was
designed; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
SECTION I
THAT a vehicle weight limit of three (3) tons be placed on
Live Oak Road and East Live Oak Road from Elbel Road north to Farm to
Market Road 3009 (Jack Hays Boulevard).
SECTION II
THAT all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
shall be and they are hereby repealed.
SECTION III
THAT Any person violating any of the provlslons of this
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof shall be fined in any sum not more than two hundred dollars ($200.00).
Each day a violation under this ordinance cbntinues shall constitute a
separate offense.
