AN ORDINANCE
ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON FM 3009 FROM THE
NORTHWEST CITY LIMITS OF SCHERTZ
SOUTHEASTERLY TO THE INTERSECTION OF FM 78 IN
THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, AND REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT.
WHEREAS, in Schertz, Texas an engineering and traffic
investigation has been made to determine the maximum, reasonable
and prudent speeds on the section of FM 3009 from the Northwest
City limits of Schertz Southwesterly to the intersection of FM 78
for a distance of 4.014 miles approximately; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the engineering and
traffic investigation that the maximum reasonable and prudent
speeds for the section of highway described above are as shown on
the attached plans; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
SECTION I. The City Council hereby declares and fixes the
maximum, reasonable and prudent speed limits on the section of FM
3009 from the Northwest city limits of Schertz Southwesterly to
the intersection of FM 78 for a distance of 4.014 miles
approximately, as shown on the attached plans and made a part
hereof.

SECTION II. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
