ORDINANCE NO.
06-H-57
AN ORDINANCE
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS PROVIDING
THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS BE
AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 14-213, INOCULATION AND
STERILIZATION OF ADOPTED ANIMALS; SECTION 14.218 (b),
STERILIZATION AGREEMENT AND PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
SECTION I
THAT, Section 14-213 (a) and Section 14-218 (b) ofthe code of Ordinances, city of
Schertz, Texas be amended to read:
"Section 14- 213 (a), Inoculation and sterilization of adopted animals.
Dogs receive one dose as recommended by Veterinarian to include Distemper-Hepatitis,
Adenovirus Type 2, Parain-Fluenza, Parvovirus and Rabies vaccine according to age
requirements and any other serums directed by the consulting veterinarian."
"Section 14- 218 (b), Sterilization Agreement.
The sterilization completion date contained in the sterilization agreement must be
completed by the date an adopted infant female or an adopted infant male becomes six
months old."
SECTION II
THAT, all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby
repealed.
