91-F-17 Garbage Rate '. "'~ ORDINANCE Nb. 9/--r-/1 . AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 7-1/2-54, EXHIBIT 2 GARBAGE RATE SCHEDULE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS: I THAT Section 7-1/2-54 Exhibit 2 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Schertz, Texas is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 7-112-54 EXHIBIT 2 GARBAGE RATE SCHEDULE SERVICE RATES: 1. Residential Class I Residential, Single Family 6.92 per month Class IA Residential, Front Door (see Section 5 c(2) ) 9.97 per month Class II Mobile Home Parks (2 or more mobile homes) (based on number in park on the 15th day of the month. 5.07 per unit Class III Apartments 5.07 per unit per month Class IV Motels 2.01 per unit per month 2. Commercial Class V Offices, barber shops and professional services 7.93 per month Class VI Light retail, wholesale, commercial or industrial 2000 to 4000 square feet and excluding large grocery stores, etc. Class VII Heavy volume retail, wholesale commercial or industrial (placement into a category in this class will be de- termined by a time and cost study or refuse generation and collection. The categories in this class usually require hand loading from rooms or pens and would not apply when com- mercial containers are used.) a. Two weekly pickups of approximately 1.5 cubic yards each (14 cu. yds. per month) excluding large grocery, furniture or department stores. b. Two weekly pickups of approximately 3 cu. yds. each (26 cu. yds. per month) excluding large grocery, furniture or department stores, etc. c. Three weekly pickups of approximately 3 cu. yds. each (39 cu. yds. per month) excluding large grocery, furniture or department stores, etc. d. Four weekly pickups of approximately 3 to 4 cu. yds. each, including large grocery, furniture or department stores, etc. e. Five weekly pickups of approximately 3 to 4 cu. yds. each including large grocery, furniture or department stores, etc. f. Rates on Compactor containers or open top containers with wet material must be negotiated with customers at the time they are needed. This type of waste must be hauled to a Type I landfill which generally has a higher disposal rate attached to it. II THAT the effective date of this ordinance shall be January 1, 1991. ,...' "', . .
