BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CI'I'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY~ OF SCHERTZ,
TEXAS:
1. There shall be levied and collected for the current
year of 1961, the following taxes upon all property, both real
and personal, within the corporate limits of the City of Schertz,
to be used for the purpose of maintaining the City, its
government, streets, alleys and parks, and for the purpose of
paying interest and sinking funds upon its indebtedness as
provided by law; that there shall be levied and collected a tax
upon all personal and real property the sum of 1% of each dollar
upon all taxable property.
2. The laws of this State require that a Tax Ordinance shall
be adopted at the first regular meeting of the City, Co~ci} 0,)' t~

City of Schertz in January of each yea~ for the purpose of
assessing the necessary tax for the purpose of maintaining the
City government and it is so ordained.
