AN ORDINANCE ALTERING PARKING ON A PART OF FARM~TO~MARKET ROAD 1518
(MAIN STREET); AND PROVmING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS:
1. No person shall angle park a vehicle at any time on the North side of
Farm-to-Market Road 1518 (Main Street) between the centerline of First
Street and the East right-of~ line of Linbergh Street, only parallel
parking of vehicles shall be allowed.
2. Any person 'Who shall violate the provisions of this ordinance, shall
upon conviction therefor be fined in a sum not to exceed One Hundred
($100.00) Dollars.

Dear Sir:
It is requested that the City of Schertz pass an ordinance revising
the parking on the North side of Farm-to-Market Road 1518 (Main Street)
between the centerline of First Street and the East right-of-way line
of Linbergh Street. This ordinance should change the present angle
parking to parallel parking in order to provide more efficient operation
on Farm-to-Market Road 1518 (Main Street). At present the full width of
Farm-to-Market Road 1518 (Main Street) cannot be utilized due to the
overhanging of the vehicles that are angle parked.
A sample ordinance is attached for your convenience.
The Highway Department will erect all necessary signs upon your comple-
tion of the necessary ordinance and furnishing this office with two (2)
copies.
