the City of Schertz, Texas, regularly convened at a regular
meeting in the City Hall of the City of Schertz, Texas.

had. to-wit:
Mayor Roy W. Richard introduced a proposed ordin-
ance levying taxes for the year 196~ in and for the City of
Schertz, Texas, hereinafter set forth. The ordinance was
read in full and a full discussion and consideration thereof
then ensued.

Thereupon, the Mayor announced the ordinance finally passed
and adopted. and said ordinance as passed and adopted by
the C1 ty Council and approved by the Mayor of the City of
Schertz. Texas, is as follows:

AN ORDINANCE ~
LEVYING TAXES FOR THE YEAR 19623
WHEREAS, the City Council o~ the City o~ Schertz,
Texas, has not passed and adopted an ordinance levying
annual taxes ~or the year 196~jand it now considers it
necessary and desirable, at this time, to pass such ordin-
ance levying ad valorem taxes on all taxable property in the
City of Schertz, fpr the year 1 962;Jand
WHEREAS, this City Council, after due consideration,
finds and determines that to pay the operating expenses o~
the City which will accrue ~or the ensuing year, herein
referred to as the tax levy ~or General Fund purposes, that
a tax o~ and at the rate of thirt~~A't1 ($O~~g) on each ,....----..'
one hundred dollars ($100.00) assessed valuation o~ all tax-

able property in the City should be levied ~or the year 196~~,
and that to pay the interest and principal requirements in
the year 19{J on the outstanding CITY OF SCHERTZ FIRE ENGINE
4% WARRANTS. SERIES A - 1959, dated October 1, 1959. that a
tax of and at the rate o~ six cents ($0.06) on each one hun-
dred dollars ($100.00) assessed valuation of all 'taxable

property in the City should be levied for the year 1962; and
that to pay the interest on and to create the necessary
sinking fund on the $301,000 CITY OF SCHERTZ SEWER SYSTEM
BONDS. SERIES 1962, dated June 1, 1962, heretofore authorized
by an ordinance passed and adopted on this day, that a tax

one hundred dollars ($100.00) assessed valuation of all
taxable property in the City of Schertz, Texas, for the year
1962', a tax of and at the rate of six cents ($0.06).-

That, to pay the interest on and to provide the
necessary sinking fund on the issue of $301,000 CITY OF
SCHERTZ SEWER SYSTEM BONDS, SERIES 1962, dated June 1, 1962,

minutes pertaining to its adoption, which ordinance was duly
and legally passed and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Schertz, and approved by the Mayor of the City of
Schertz, Texas, at a regular meeting held on September 6,
1962, at the regular meeting place in the City Hall in the
City of Schertz, Texas, and that same appears of record in
Book , of the Minutes of said City Council; and that I
