AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE OFFICES OF SUPERINTENDENT OF UTILITIES,
ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT OF UTILITIES AND ASSISTANT SUPERIN-
TENDENT OF UTILITIES IN CHARGE OF THE SE'NER SYSTEM.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS
1. There is hereby created the office of Superintendent of
Utilities for the City of Schertz, Texas, which said officer
shall perform the duties of Superintendent of the Water Works
as heretofore defined by ordinance of this council and who
shall also be the administrative officer of the sewer system.
He shall have general supervision over all employees of the
water works and sewer system of the City of Schertz, Texas,
shall make frequent trips of inspection over such systems and
shall make all repairs deemed necessary and consistent with
his duties.
2. The said Superintendent of Utilities shall report violations
of all ordinances governing the establishment, maintenance and
operation of the water system and sewer system to the City
Council and shall forthwith proceed to have all offenders
prosecuted as provided by the ordinances of this city.
3. There are hereby created the offices of Assistant Superin-
tendent of Utilities and Assistant Superintendent of Utilities
in charge of the Sewer System. These officers shall be
subordinate to the Superintendent of Utilities and shall
perform such duties as may be assigned to them by this
councilor the Superintendent of Utilities.
4. The officers provided for in this ordinance shall be
appointed by the City Council of the City of SChertz, Texas
and shall serve in such offices at the will of the City
Council of the City of Schertz, Texas.
S. Walter Schertz is hereby appointed Superintendent of
Utilities; Russell Rowell is hereby appointed Assistant
Superintendent of Utilities; and Freddy Rowell is hereby
appointed Assistant Superintendent of Utilities in charge
of the Sewer System.
