AN ORDINANCE
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TE
CALLING AN ELECTION TO BE HELD ON MAY 6,
FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING A MAYOR AND
(2) COUNClLMEMBERS FOR SAID CITY; AND DECLA
AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEXAS:
THAT an election be held in and throughout the City of S(
(the "City"), for the purpose of electing a Mayor and (2) Counci
Places 1 and 2 respectively, to serve for a term of two (2) years.

THAT at said election the candidate receiving the high~
votes f0or Mayor shall be declared elected for a term of tw(

THAT the ballots to be used in said election shall be
conformity with the Texas Election Code, as amended. That in
conducting said election, voter forms, instructions and other mate~
therefore, including the ballots, shall be in both the English
language.

THAT notice of said election shall be given in accorda
provisions of Title 1, Chapter 4, Texas Election Code.

THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and dire
