<br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />07-T-41 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FISCAL YEAR 2007-2008 <br />BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, TEXAS AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as required by the laws of the State of Texas and the City Charter, <br />the budget has been prepared and submitted to the City Council with estimates <br />of expenditures and revenues of all City Departments and activities for the fiscal <br />year beginning October 1, 2007 and Ending September 30, 2008; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing upon said budget has been posted and <br />legally published; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held and full and final consideration has <br />been given regarding the budget; NOW THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SCHERTZ, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. THAT the budget of the City of Schertz, Texas, for the fiscal year <br />beginning October 1, 2007 and ending September 30, 2008, an exact copy of <br />which is marked "Exhibit A" and made a part hereof for all purposes the same as <br />if it were copied in full herein, is hereby approved and adopted by the City <br />Council for fiscal year 2007-2008. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. THAT this Ordinance approving and adopting a budget for fiscal <br />year 2007-2008 is in accordance with the terms and provisions of the laws of the <br />State of Texas and the City Charter. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. THAT the Council hereby determined that an emergency exists <br />requiring immediate action, and this Ordinance is hereby passed as an <br />emergency measure to be effective immediately upon its passage and the <br />enactment of this Ordinance as an emergency measure in accordance with the <br />provisions of Section 4.09 (e) of the City's Home Rule Charter will contribute to <br />the preservation of the public peace, health, or safety. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this the 25th day of <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />
